Keep skills honed in off-season
IF you’re getting itchy feet about getting back on the paddock and need a dose of rugby league, then sign up for a camp sure to put you through your paces and keep your skills tuned.
Queensland Rugby League has been holding rugby league camps for players aged between 12 and 17 for over 25 years and for the first time a summer camp will be held in Rockhampton.
These camps in previous years have been held in Toowoomba and Townsville.
With the recent changes to division boundaries, the venues for the summer camps have been altered and it has been decided to hold camps in Rockhampton, Townsville and the Gold Coast.
The camps kick off on December 11 and wrap up on December 17.
The QRL Summer camps provide the opportunity for players, coaches, first aid officers (FAO’s) and referees in Queensland to improve their skills of the game.
The young rugby league players attending these camps will have the opportunity to work with experienced coaches and QRL development staff.
The camps also provide the opportunity for coaches and First Aid Officers (FAOs) to commence progression towards attaining higher accreditation.
The QRL Summer camps have been highly successful and with the recent changes, Central Queenslanders have now been given the opportunity to attend a camp closer to home.
This is a great opportunity for players, coaches, referees and FAOs within Central Queensland to attend a high-quality training camp.
