Karl and Jasmine resurface in Sydney

Though he hasn't been waking up with Today, Karl Stefanovic, 44, still has plenty of reasons to smile.

The former TV host looked relaxed and happy while walking the streets of Sydney's upper North Shore with wife, Jasmine Yarbrough, 34, on Wednesday.

Despite work commitments forcing the couple to spend Valentine's Day apart, the pair stepped out in their activewear looking as loved up as ever.

While the newlyweds have kept a low profile since their lavish wedding last year - and Karl's shock axing from Today during his honeymoon - their cheery public outing comes as Today bosses receive some not-so-happy ratings.

After news broke of the breakfast show's shake-up, Karl appeared on Sky News' The Front Page with Peter Gleeson to talk life after Today.

Saying he was using the time to "reset", Karl admitted it's been difficult at times.

"It hasn't been without its challenges, that's for sure," he said.

"Believe it or not, I'm usually quite a shy sort of person, so seeing so much negativity play out in the press for weeks and months on end does have its challenges and can be difficult to deal with at times."

Despite their very tumultuous year, Jasmine still recalls it fondly.

"2018 was dream town," she shared on social media "We were surrounded by so much love, I still have butterflies in my tummy thinking about it."

In a recent interview, the model and shoe designer summed up her secret to success - both in her professional and personal life.

"Women are so resilient - no matter what life throws at us, we rise stronger."
