Kanye West set to headline Glastonbury Festival
Kanye West has been confirmed as one of this year's headline acts at the Glastonbury Festival.
The rap superstar will top the Saturday bill at the June event, Emily Eavis, daughter of the festival's founder Michael, revealed on Twitter tonight.
It raises the prospect of socialite Kim Kardashian donning a pair of wellies to watch him take to the Pyramid Stage for his first appearance at the festival, famous for its mud during wet years.
Ms Eavis tweeted: "We are thrilled to let you know we have the one and only Kanye West headlining Saturday night on the Pyramid stage!"
West, in the UK charts with his track FourFive Seconds which includes Rihanna and Sir Paul McCartney, is the latest act confirmed for the June 24-28 festival.
Foo Fighters will headline the Pyramid Stage on the Friday, making their first appearance at the Somerset festival since 1998. Tickets for the event have been sold out since October, but a resale is planned in April for any cancelled and returned tickets.
