Junior golf talent shines at BITS medal event

JUNIORS hit the green for the final Medal of Medals event on Saturday at BITS Golf Club.

The golf season runs from February to November, and BITS Junior Golf holds nine monthly medal events a year.

There are a number of impressive up and coming golfers at the club, evident by the fact BITS Junior Golf wasrecently named the Central Queensland Junior Golf Club of the Year for the second year in a row.

Junior golf co-ordinator Stephen Shuttleworth said the achievement reflected on the efforts of all the juniors over the year.

"We've got a great club at the moment," Shuttleworth said. "There are so many families that like to go away for tournaments."

If you're interested in giving golf a go, BITS plan on holding a "come and try'' day in February.
