Julia Gillard's rant at 'sexist' Tony turned into a song

A MELBOURNE entertainer may have just put together the new anthem for feminism in Australia - with the help of a former prime minister.

Bronwyn Calcutt  has taken the text of Julia Gillard's now famous misogyny speech and set it to the tune of the hit song I Will Survive.

Playing a lightly strummed ukulele, Calcutt is joined by a chorus of like-minded females who bob in and out of picture on key phraseses, such as "I will not be lectured about sexism and misogyny by this man. Not now! Not ever!"

The entertainer performed her song in front of the former prime minister in Melbourne last night at a speech hosted by the Victorian Women's Trust, with Ms Gillard reportedly  hailing it "an unexpected delight."

Take a look at the video - it take a while to get going but it's worth hanging in there.
