Tradie caught with drugs
TRADIE Gradey Fraser Gill appeared in custody before the District Court at Gladstone after a judge issued a warrant when he failed to appear at 9am Thursday.
Gill was later arrested by police and brought before Judge Michael Burnett.
The convicted sex offender was scheduled to be re-sentenced over breaches of his suspended jail sentence imposed for sex offences.
Gill, a 21-year-old bricklayer, last November received a suspended nine-month jail term in the District Court.
The imprisonment term was wholly suspended with a good behaviour period for two years.
A submission by Crown prosecutor Sam Bain said Gill had breached the sentence by re-offending after being found guilty in the magistrates court last month of drug offences (cannabis), and three counts of failing to comply with reporting conditions in April under the Child Protection (Offender) Reporting Act.
Judge Burnett found the breaches of the suspended sentence proven and extended the two year operational period of the suspended sentence by nine months.
Gill must not re-offend in that time.
