Ipswich Lotto player becomes an instant millionaire

ONE lucky person has a million reasons to believe 2015 is going to be a great new year after buying a winning Lotto ticket in Ipswich.

The dream of turning into a millionaire became a reality for the Saturday Gold Lotto player, who bought their entry in Raceview.

The excited registered winner won a division one share in the weekend's Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The winner, who wants to remain anonymous, came forward to Golden Casket to claim their division one prize of $1,057,519.12.

Terry Brown from Raceview News, the outlet that sold the winning entry, said he was excited to know his newsagency had sold a division one winning ticket.

"It's the first time that we've sold a $1 million division one winning ticket," Mr Brown said excitedly.

"It's great to know that one of our customers is now a millionaire. We're very happy for them and wish them all the best for the future.

"We're now hoping to sell some more division one winning tickets and have other extremely happy customers."

Throughout Australia, there were four entries that won a first division share of Saturday Gold Lotto's estimated $4 million division one prize pool on Saturday 10 January, each worth $1,057,519.12. Along with the winning entry purchased in Queensland, two winning entries were sold in Victoria, and one in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3493 on Saturday were 25, 4, 19, 27, 34 and 24 with the supplementary numbers of 33 and 41.

Tickets in today's $15 million Oz Lotto draw are on sale now from all Golden Casket outlets and online from Tatts.com.
