Inmate to be sentenced over murder of Bundaberg man

INMATE Gregory George Glebow is today expected to be sentenced for murdering a Bundaberg man inside the Maryborough Correctional Centre.

Leonard Raymond Gordon, 22, was allegedly beaten to death in the prison's exercise yard on October 8, 2012.

Glebow is listed for sentence in the Brisbane Supreme Court at 2.30pm before Justice David Boddice.

Mr Gordon was serving a sentence for setting fire to a Godfrey's vacuum shop, causing almost $30,000 damage, on April 24, 2011.

There were two inmate deaths and a third serious incident - with two brawling prisoners ending up in hospital - at the Maryborough prison in just over a month in 2012.
