Indigenous schoolgirls trials add to netball year

THE netball season may have drawn to a close in terms of club play on the Memorial Park courts, but action continues on September 12, with trials for the Queensland Indigenous Schoolgirls Netball.

Gladstone is the first place to hold regional trials for the teams, in which girls can be picked for the under-12, under-14, under-16 and under-18 age groups.

The only other requirement is that the girls have to be attending school in 2016 to participate.

The trials begin at 9am, following an 8am registration.

They will continue through to 1pm, and will be held at the Memorial Park courts.
