Decision on QAL worker sprayed with 'hot caustic solution'
THE Supreme Court of Queensland has dismissed an appeal from Paul Thomas Kennedy against QAL Ltd in relation to a workplace incident in 2011.
Mr Kennedy was sprayed with hot caustic solution, his left foot burnt when a flange opened during repairs to a tank pipe's suction line.
The appeal was made after the trial judge came to an apportionment of 50% contributory negligence on the part of Mr Kennedy.
The appeal was dismissed on the grounds the original findings were appropriate.
