Importance of carers celebrated

THIS week is Carers Week and yesterday Gladstone Community Health, together with The Gladstone Regional Council, Carers Queensland and Suncare, recognised the importance of carers and the support they provide to many clients.

They celebrated with a morning tea held for the carers at the Port Curtis Place. Carers Week is held nationally each year during October and gives an opportunity for the community to celebrate and acknowledge the importance of carers.

The week is also a reminder to carers to consider the emotional and physical strains they face each day, and to care for themselves.

For photos of this event see this Friday's edition of The Observer.
