Tannum Sands outnumbers opponents at three-point carnival

BLUE and gold outnumbered the rest at yesterday's Three-Point Junior Surf Life Saving Carnival at Tannum Sands.

The Tannum Sands club had more than 100 competitors, while Emu Park SLSC and Yeppoon SLSC had around 100 between them.

"The kids have been having a ball," said Tannum Sands SLSC junior president Peter Elliott.

"It's about getting them carnival ready."

The biggest age group representing the host club was the under-11s with age managers Rita Doherty and Lincoln Thornton looking after the 23 budding athletes.

Olivia Budd, Paris Richardson and Hannah Einarson excelled in all of yesterday's under-11s water events.

Olivia was first in the ironwoman and board events, as well as third in the swim.

Paris achieved second place in the swim, third in the ironwoman and sixth in the board.

Hannah came in third for board, fourth for ironwoman and fifth for the swim.
