How Harrup Park won a state top dining award
HARRUP Park Country Club is a winner.
The club recently won the best dining category at the Keno and Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence.
General manager Adrian Young said the club was honoured to take out the win.
“The accolade is a reward for considerable hard work done day in day out by all involved with the cafe at the club, especially the cafe staff,” he said.
Nominations are open for all clubs in Queensland.
“The judges praised the high level of customer service, cleanliness and overall presentation of the venue,” Mr Young said.
“They also mentioned the great value for money that the cafe provided for food and beverage available.”
The positive feedback matches the club’s philosophy.
“We strive to provide our members and guests with uncompromised personalised service within the best community, entertainment, sporting and event facility in regional Queensland,” Mr Young said.
“We will continually endeavour to deliver the highest quality hospitality standard possible.
“By delivering quality in our service, attitudes and attention to detail.
“The award provides some recognition of that.”
Harrup Park is now operational but is working within current COVID-19 restrictions.
“Although we are operating at a limited capacity based on 20 people per area, we are lucky we have so many sections within the club, due to this we can have up to 180 people through different sections at any time,” Mr Young explained.
“We are eagerly awaiting stage three, so we can increase this further and get a bit closer to normality.
“In saying that, our priority is the health and safety of our members, guests, staff and sporting participants.
“We are and will continue to maintain all COVID risk management procedures as set out in our industry COVID plan.”
Looking to the future, Mr Young said there would be a strong focus on delivering the Great Barrier Reef Arena project for the region.
The club also won the club secretary/manager of the year and was a finalist for best sports club, club director and young manager.
