House and Baker bound for grand final against Roosters

NRLW: An ex-Rooster will meet the Sydney Roosters.

That's the scenario for former Calliope Rooster Kody House, who made her debut for Brisbane Broncos in Friday's grand final qualifier against New Zealand Warriors.

Broncos' 32-10 win sealed a date against Sydney Roosters in Sunday's Holden Women's Premiership grand final at 1.35pm in Sydney's ANZ Stadium.

It will be the curtain-raiser to the NRL decider between Sydney Roosters and Melbourne Storm.

House scored her try at the 38th minute and she was one of five who crossed the try-line for Brisbane.

The now Ipswich-based House put the game beyond doubt after Broncos' captain Ali Brigginshaw had saved a try in effectively an eight-point turnaround.

Gladstone's Chelsea Baker also played her role with four conversions.

"I was really proud of their effort and we certainly didn't play our best footy in patches, but they've got such a wonderful camaraderie as a group," Broncos coach Paul Dyer said on NRL.com.

"As a coach that's the thing that gives you the most pleasure out, that when the times are tough, they will keep digging in for each other."
