Big crowd present to witness HookUp winners’ joy

THERE was barely an inch of space spare at BrayPark on Sunday evening, with a 12,000 strong crowd present to learn if they had won the HookUp jackpot.

The major prize was a Toyota Rav4 and boat, awarded to Patrick McNamara of Tannum Sands.

Matthew Brammer, Jason Watson, Ryan Loakes and George Button were all announced as boat winners.

The BMX bike went to an elated Jayden Thies, while the Fish of the Day award was a beauty caught by Philip Campbell.

Rhonda Brown, Brian Monson, Dawn Heidrich, Kye Geall, Caleb Rolleston, Shianne Plunkett and Michelle Haigh were the random prize winners of the day.

Claire Moody was the winner of the daily VMR Safety Award for her conscientiousness every time she set out on the water.
