Honda CR-V diesel to start from $38,290

HONDA is banking on badge prestige, customer loyalty and diesel grunt to help bolster sales of its CR-V sports utility vehicle, with hefty pricing on its new oil-burner.

The new four-wheel drive diesel CR-V has been long awaited in Australia.

Under the bonnet is a 2.2-litre turbo diesel powerplant delivering 110kW of power at 4000rpm and 350Nm of torque at 2000-2750rpm partnered to either a six-speed manual or a five speed automatic. 

Features include Bluetooth phone and audio streaming with steering wheel mounted controls and USB connectivity, 17-inch alloys with a full size spare, LED daytime running lights and LED rear tail lights, reversing camera, leather wrapped steering wheel, rear parking sensors and satellite navigation.

The DTi-L adds smart entry with push-button start, 18-inch alloys, front and rear parking sensors, bi-xenon HID headlights, Active Cornering Lights and leather trim with heated driver and front passenger seats
