HMAS Gladstone broken into over weekend

POLICE are calling for information from the public after HMAS Gladstone was broken into over the weekend.

The ship, which is moored in the Gladstone Marina, is part of the Gladstone Maritime Museum fleet.

A padlock was cut and the ship was entered, but it's believed nothing was stolen.

Anyone with information should call Gladstone Police on 4971 3222. 

In other police news, thieves attempted to break into the Gladstone Turf Club on the Dawson Hwy on Monday afternoon.

A door was damaged in the attempt, but no entry was made. It's believed nothing was taken.

The incident happened between 4-5pm.
