Historic hall set to raise the roof with concert

LIFELONG friendships have been created under the Gladstone Musical Society hall roof - and that's set to continue, thanks to a grant from QGC.

Society president Narelle Russel said the new roof built hope that the hall would remain rich in its history and its future.

An upcoming event held by the society at the Senior Citizens Hall - the Raise the Roof concert - will be held next Friday, July 31.

The $9 admission fee includes morning tea and free reign over lucky door, craft table and a raffle.

The concert will start at 10 am. Tickets are nearly all sold out - bookings are essential.
