HILLCLOSE estate in Clinton was buzzing with live music on Saturday as residents and strangers joined in for an afternoon relaxing together at Harmony Park.

Jazz performers were followed by Rockhampton band A 2 Z which played into the evening.

It was the first time Jazz in the Park had been held at HillClose, located off Harvey Rd.

Organisers said it was a success.

Maria Carino was one of about 200 residents and guests to go along.

"They had jazz, and then some faster music," she said.

Her daughter Angel said she ate lots of cupcakes as well as having her face painted.

Angel's friend Charylle Tanyay said she had had fun.

"I went on the jumping castle and the bouncy slide," the 11-year-old said.

Mother of two Maria said was a convenient place to live.

"It's quiet, and close to the supermarket and airport," she said.
