Hideaway Island: Noosa's multi-million dollar crowning jewel

IF THE exclusive 4567 postcode is the home of the rich and famous, Noosa's Hideaway Island is arguably its jewel in the crown.

Property website CoreLogic shows the island is home to high profile lawyers, the inventor of Golden Gaytime, doctors and small business success stories.

Earlier this year, Sydney identities Anthony Bell and Kelly Landry purchased a Hideaway home for a record sale price of $10.3m.

The latest home on offer, 55 Wyuna Drive, Noosaville has hit the market this week, and is part of Hideaway Island's third stage of development.

The four-bedroom waterfront oasis is in one of Noosa's most coveted upmarket enclaves.

The home is listed Tom Offermann Real Estate with a guide price of $5 million, which is expected to sell quickly.

Principal agent Tom Offermann said the home came with its own "luxury" retreat feel.

"It is in the third stage of Noosa Sound, and the residents in there have a firm conviction that the developers left the best stage until last," Mr Offermann said.

"The difference about Hideaway is you're a little bit further away from Hastings. Just out of the busy hub but still accessible.

"You just jump in the canoe or tinnie and you're there."

Mr Offermann said Hideaway Island was aptly named, likening it to being on your own private island, looking at the mainland.

He wouldn't disclose names but said a number of "high net-worth" individuals were either full-time residents or using it for holiday home purposes.

The waterfront homes are located on a calm section of the catchment, with the ability to interact with nature a draw card.

Access to the Island's two-acre park another.

"The reserve has all these high trees, full of native sea birds and great for fishing," he said.

"The interaction with nature is one of its greatest appeals.

"And being a circular development it has wider water frontage.

"It's in a warm, amenable climate and a town brimming with natural assets that turns holiday-makers into property buyers.

"This is something I have experienced for over 30 years, and it is not going to stop. They want that exclusive Noosa Heads' 4567 postcode."
