Hendra vaccine now available nation-wide

THE hendra vaccine made available across Queensland and New South Wales two weeks ago was extended to all parts of the nation on Wednesday.

The vaccine was created after more than two decades of research, and should protect horses from the killer bat-borne disease.

Agriculture Minister Joe Ludwig announced the vaccine would now be available to those in the equine industry in all states and territories.
