Kindy kids help fight childhood disease
COMMUNITY Kids Clinton Park Early Education Centre went all out on Genes for Jeans Day on Friday.
To support the cause, children and educators from the centre wore jeans to raise funds for the Children's Medical Research Institute to fight childhood disease.
Centre director Kerry Hart encouraged anyone who had the opportunity to put on some threads and donate to the research of genetic disease.
"We take any opportunity we can at the centre to support the community and we couldn't think of a more worthy cause than donating to the cause," she said
"Children are precious. It's devastating when you hear or see the pain and suffering many little ones go through in hospital.
"It's without a doubt that we need to take a united stance in trying to prevent this."
The Jeans for Genes mission is to raise awareness and funds for genetic disease.
