Helicopter attends to crashes

THE AGL Action Rescue Helicopter has attended two separate motorcycle accidents less than three hours apart.

At around 1pm when a 19 year old Bundaberg man riding along Sallons Rock Road, Calavos hit a small jump and crashed.

He suffered a fractured leg and was airlifted to the Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Despite the accident's close proximity to Bundaberg the helicopter was requested because access was difficult and the road very rough.

The second accident occurred shortly before 4pm on a private property at Deepwater.

A father, with his 12 year old daughter on the back, failed to see a barb wire fence and crashed.

The 31 year old man from Yeppoon suffered serious lacerations and abdominal injuries.

His daughter suffered lacerations to her arms and legs.

The AGL Action Rescue Helicopter airlifted the pair to Bundaberg Base Hospital.  Both were in a stable condition.
