HAVE YOUR SAY: Healthy food and smoothie cafe opens today

A HEALTHY food and smoothie cafe will open today at Tannum Sands.

Fit Life Smoothie and Snackbar, located at the Ocean St hotel and store precinct, is the third store to open at the newly renovated premises.

The store will offer healthy takeaway options including smoothies, iced coffee, beef jerky, protein balls and a meal range that caters for people with a range of food intolerances.

Owners Rick and Kirsty Callander told The Observer last month they wanted to share their ideals of living a healthy lifestyle.

"We're into our gym and we live a healthy lifestyle ... we thought there wasn't many healthy takeaway options in Tannum Sands, so why not make our own," Mr Callander said.
