Head on crash at Benaraby

A HEAD on collision between two vehicles has landed up to three people in hospital including a three-year-old boy.

The accident happened at approximately 1.45pm on the corner of O’Connor Road and Bruce Highway in Benaraby near the Benaraby primary school.

Local residents heard the collision from up to a kilometre away.

Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene with a man and a woman having to be cut out of the sedan.

The woman’s legs were pinned under the dash.

A local resident said the notorious turn off was only waiting for a major accident.

Gladstone police have made no comment at this time.
