Have your say: Botanic to Bridge 2016 route

THE Botanic to Bridge fun run could have a new route for the 2016 event, with organisers asking the public to have their say on where it should be held.

Gladstone Ports Corporation is considering to change the race course for the event's seventh year.

What will stay the same is the funds raised will still go to local schools and community groups.

Three options will be presented for input, all with hills, flat areas, beautiful views and the challenge of walking, jogging or running.

The 2015 Botanic to Bridge event attracted over 4,000 participants and raised $43,500 for local schools, The Pyjama Foundation and the rt Families Foundation.

Over the past six years, Botanic to Bridge has invested over $243,000 into the Gladstone region.

GPC Chief Executive Officer, Craig Doyle said the Gladstone community is an integral part of the fundraising event.

"We greatly appreciate this continued support from the community and we are keen to incorporate everyone's feedback into the planning for this year's event," Mr Doyle said.

To provide your feedback on the proposed changes, you can access the survey on the Botanic to Bridge Facebook page.

The survey will close at 5pm on Friday 29 January 2016.
