Have say on new Gladstone Development Strategy

GLADSTONE Council is undertaking a review of its economic development strategy due to significant growth and change in the region since the last strategy was formed in 2010.

A workshop to obtain public input into the development of a new Economic Development Strategy for the Gladstone Region will be held in the McArthur Room at the Oaks, Goondoon St, Gladstone on July 13, at 6.30pm.

Economic development strategy spokeswoman Karen Porter said the council's Innovation Sustainability and Opportunity Advisory Committee had been working with the Gladstone Regional Economic Partnership, which was involved in the previous economic development strategy delivery, as well as AEC Consultants to prepare an initial framework.

"The initial framework documents will be provided to interested residents by a separate email and/or be available on Council's website from Friday, July 3 to assist people prepare for the workshop," Councillor Porter said.
