Tannum community hall riddled with asbestos

THE Tannum Sands community hall is riddled with asbestos.

The asbestos was found after a complaint was made about the peeling paint on the hall.

Chairperson Ro Koenig - who has experience in asbestos removal - said the hall would need to be painted with a bond resin to prevent fibres drifting into the community.

The hall was last painted in 1984.
