Gympie pays tribute to late artist Bryan Moore

BRYAN Moore (1939-2014) was a well-known ceramic artist of the Gympie region who specialised in unique glazes in his range of domestic and artistic porcelain pottery.

Often depicting our local environment, his style is easily recognisable and was often described as typically Australian.

As a special tribute to his contribution and support of the Gympie Regional Gallery, the Bryan Moore Inglewood Hill Ceramic Prize will be held in January 2015.

Entry forms are now available at the Gympie Regional Gallery or at gympie.qld.gov.au/gallery for this one-off competition.

Forms and a $5.50 entry fee are due on Friday, December 12, with the opening event and award presentation - where the prize of $500 will be announced - on Saturday, January 10, 2015.

Gympie Regional Gallery is situated at 39 Nash St, Gympie, just up the hill from Goldfields Plaza. Inquiries 5481 0733.
