THERE was tumbling technique and polished routines galore on Sunday when Gladstone Gymnastic Club held its annual display at the PCYC on Yarroon St.

A lot of hard work went into staging the display and not just by the gymnasts who worked on their routines every week this term

There were about 30 organisers for the event and many volunteers, but the effort was worth it as more than 550 people came to watch the show that ran from 10am until 12.30pm.

Gladstone Gymnastics Club office administrator Amy Dew said the best part of the display was watching the gymnasts from all the various age groups and seeing the transformation from KindyGym to the top level MAG and WAG gymnasts.

Dew said various parents commented on acts throughout the day, including Ray Young who said he was mesmerised by the Acro finale, while Trevor Dowdell's favourite was switch which he said showed great gymnastics choreography.

"Liz Cunningham's favourite was the Womens Squad 2. I will always love your routine," Dew said.

The Hot Stepper MAG team was a show stopper and the Skippy the bush kangaroo kindy routine melted hearts.
