Gladstone Gymnastics Club signs young beginners
GLADSTONE Gymnastics Club's latest new athlete Sienna Mossman, 8, began climbing just about anything that proved a worthy challenge.
That was a few years ago when she was a toddler and it prompted her mum, Angelina, to go to Saturday's sign-on day at the club.
"I am very excited and I have signed up and I enjoyed all the rings and beams," the youngster said.
"My favourite is doing handstands and I was excited so I have signed up."
Flexing her body, Sienna also did some bridges as she happily posed for the camera.
It is the perfect introduction to Gladstone for mum and daughter after they moved from Boyne Valley last week.
"Sienna is always hanging upside down as well as slipping off the couch," Angelina said.
"I'm 100 per cent sure that she will be a future gymnastics champion."
Club instructor Whitney Dew said it has been a busy day.
"There have been a lot of new people and organised chaos and most people have left with smiles on their faces," Dew said.
"We have also had beginner coaches learning how to become technical coaches.
"We are really developing as a national club and have a big team all working together."
