Great Barrier Reef: 'Action' fast-tracked to save reef

"ACTIONS" to boost the resilience of the Great Barrier Reef, will be fast-tracked after scientists and policy makers met to discuss option for improving the quality of water flowing to the reef.

Environment Minister Steven Miles said it was the first time the annual Great Barrier Synthesis Workshop had been held.

"What was impressive was the desire from all organisations to work collaboratively to progress projects that will address some of the big challenges facing the reef," he said in a press statement.
