Graffiti spree on weekend

POLICE are calling for witnesses to come forward after Goondoon St and its surrounds suffered a graffiti rampage on Saturday night.

Targets included Flynn LNP campaign office, the old RSL building, Mid City Motel, Harbour Sails Motel, the old Post Office on Yarroon Street as well as the old surveyors consulting building on the corner of Yarroon and Goondoon Streets.

A Gladstone police spokesperson said it was clear the graffiti attacks was by the same offender.

“If anyone has any information we urge witnesses to come forward,” the spokesperson said.

Apart from the graffiti, police said there were no significant dramas despite it being a race day.

“On a whole everyone was pretty well behaved,” the police spokesperson said.
