Grab your chance to win $1000 and buy your own present

TECHNOLOGY seems to be the main present Gladstone residents were hoping for and didn't get at Christmas.

But thanks to The Observer's Second Chance Santa competition, they now have the chance to win $1000 and buy something nice for themselves.

Commenting on Facebook, Kellie Shepherd said she would use the money to buy a decent underwater camera to use when fishing, snorkelling and swimming, then would put the rest towards something for her family.

Roxanne Turner also was keen to get a new camera, while other readers were hoping for a new tablet.

Televisions and holidays also were on the wishlist.

Brad Boland said he would love the chance to explore Queensland, while Pamela Penny would buy plane tickets to visit family in Adelaide.

If you'd like the chance to win $1000, go to The Observer's Facebook page and click on the Second Chance Santa competition app in the favourites bar.

Like the page, enter your details and tell us what you desperately wanted and didn't receive.

The most creative or engaging entry, as determined by the judges at their sole discretion, will be declared the winner and given $1000 to buy the present Santa didn't bring.

The promotion ends on March 24 at 5pm.
