Rockhampton hit big points over Gladstone Power

GLADSTONE Power's under-14 boy's basketball side had the return of two wins and two losses from the Central District Carnival in Rockhampton over the weekend.

Rockhampton proved too strong on the big points in the first match to come away 43-35 winners.

Haizyn Mellars shot 12 points for the Power while Thasindu Chandrasekara scored eight.

Gladstone's then thrashed Emerald before Bundaberg put on a clinic to win 66-28.

The under-14 girls had an undefeated tournament with Lucia Perez the star averaging a touch under 11 points.

Gladstone's under-16 boys finished with a 2-2 record led by Isaac King who averaged 17 points in a competition dominated by Rockhampton.

The under-16 girls also split their win-loss record with two wins.

Aliah Bernabei was a standout and was the difference in the wins against Bundaberg.
