Glenn Lazarus taken to hospital 'with condition'

PALMER United Party Senate leader Glenn Lazarus has been taken to hospital, Clive Palmer told the National Press Club today.

Mr Palmer did not provide further details during his press conference, but wished Senator Lazarus a speedy recovery.

"I just want to pay tribute today to our leader in the Senate, Glenn Lazarus, [who] has just been taken to hospital with a condition," he said.

"We all want to support him and wish him well."

Mr Lazarus' staff would not say why he had been taken to hospital.

Reporters tweeted that the ambulance service had not reported any call outs from Parliament House in Canberra in relation to an MP.
