Glen skipper targets ‘silly shots'

THE Glen held on to beat BITS by the barest of margins in a thrilling encounter on Saturday.

BITS compiled a handy 152 but it wasn't enough with the Glen passing the target with one wicket in hand.

The win was not a simple one though with Glen captain Michael Heymer taking aim at his batsmen.

"We didn't bat very well," he said. "We made hard work of chasing down the total."

Heymer said several of his batsmen had thrown their wickets away.

"People did silly things, silly shots," he said.

"But you could say we stole a win."

Michael Matz claimed four wickets in an impressive display to be named Heymer's man of the match.
