Gladstone’s last race day to raise funds for school

THE last race day on the Gladstone calendar is aimed at raising funds for Rosella Park School.

The Rosella Park School Charity Race Day is set to be held on December 1 to help the special-needs school raise funds to build a library.

P&C president Lisa Lowe said having a library at the school would greatly benefit the development of students.

"It is about making sure we can create a learning environment for our students to give them the best possible outcome in life," Ms Lowe said.

The main fundraiser will be a luncheon held at the turf club in a marquee on race day.

Rob Kidd will MC the luncheon and there will be prizes for best-dressed and best hat.

Ms Lowe said those who could not attend the luncheon could still help the school by simply attending the race day as $2 from each person's entry fee would be go donated to the school.

Raffle tickets will also be being sold on the day.

GET TICKETS

  • Tickets for the luncheon can be purchased through the school on 4976 8333.
  • The cost is $60 per person or $550 for a table of 10.
