The criminals our local pollies can't stand
SIGN stealing is back.
Another election and another spate of corflute crimes in Gladstone.
Labor candidate Zac Beers has lost more than 100 corflutes since the election was called. He has just ordered another 200 more.
He said that the 100 he had stolen were just in Gladstone and he didn't know how many of the 1000 he put up in Flynn were still on show.
He didn't know who was responsible for taking them.
"If I knew the answer to that I wouldn't be speaking to a reporter about it," he said.
This isn't the first and probably won't be the last time corflutes have gone missing in the Gladstone region.
During the local government election in March 38 corflutes were found in Wild Cattle Creek.
They belonged to a wide variety of candidates.
Councillor Kahn Goodluck had the most in the creek with eight.
