Gladstone's biggest ever networking event planned

HUNDREDS of local business people are expected to attend Gladstone's Biggest Ever Network Meeting next month.

The Gladstone Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gladstone Engineering Alliance, and Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Limited, in conjunction with 4CC, are working together to organise the event.

It will be held at the Gladstone Events Centre Yaralla on Friday, August 14 to bring together the business community in Gladstone.

Chamber spokeswoman Crystal McGregor said local businesses buying from and supporting other local businesses was vital to economic sustainability in the region.

"But how do you do that if you do not know what products and services are on offer from local businesses?

"Small and medium businesses cannot afford to isolate themselves from their local business community.

"Instead, they should look into opportunities that allow them to connect with other businesses in the region."

Chamber president Rick Hansen believes it is imperative that businesses know other local businesses.

It's networking, networking and more networking," he said.

Attendees at Gladstone's Biggest Ever Network Meeting will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with businesses from all over the region.

For a fee of $8 it will be the most valuable investment you can make to market your business, organisers say.

People interested in attending can register here, contact the chamber on 4978 7800 or email projects@gcci.com.au.
