Gladstone Women's Health Centre lands $3.7m

VICTIMS of domestic violence in Gladstone and Biloela will have more support with an extra $3.7m in funding announced today.

The funding means the Women's Health Centre can now offer court support as well as counselling for both adults and children.

Minister for Women Shannon Fentiman made the announcement today at the Gladstone Women's Health Centre.

Earlier today Women's Health Centre manager Tash Fee spoke to The Observer, excited about what the announcement was going to be.

She was at this morning's GAPDL Business Breakfast keen to hear from the ministers.

"It's good to know that employment and business is high on their agenda.

"I've found that they're also talking about some of the burning Gladstone issues ... I'm very proud of Glenn Butcher for getting the ministers here."

The Queensland ministers are still in Gladstone after yesterday's community cabinet meeting.
