Gladstone raised Donaghy named Melbourne Storm CEO

GLADSTONE raised Dave Donaghy is set to take over the reigns of the Melbourne Storm in two weeks time, replacing current CEO Mark Evans.

Evans is returning to the United Kingdom and Donaghy is the man set to replace him.

After beginning as a journalist in 2003, Donaghy has slowly climbed his way through administrative positions at the Storm.

He began with the club in 2008 before a three year stint with the Brisbane Lions.

He went back to Melbourne as Strategy and Communications Director.

The 32-year-old will be given the task of making the club financial.

He is keen to have Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk finish their careers with the club.
