UPDATE WEDNESDAY: A spate of drunken assaults in Gladstone kept police busy at weekend.

No one has been charged and police are asking for help in identifying the alleged assailants.

Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Senior Sergeant Luke Peachey said around 12.10am on Sunday two separate instances of assault occurred in the smoking area of the Central Lane Hotel.

"Police are seeking public assistance in regards to the identity of two offenders that police wish to speak to in regards to those matters," he said.

"It appeared that one offender struck the victim with an elbow to the face, who fell and was rendered unconscious.

"A second victim was struck in an unprovoked attack by a second offender with a closed right fist to the face.

"As a result he suffered a number of facial fractures."

The victim of the first attack has yet to come forward to police.

A further incident occurred near Central Lane Hotel on Sunday morning when a male patron was assaulted by offenders in a vacant block between the hotel and McDonalds.

"Police received a 000 call by a witness and we spoke with him in regards to that, but we're asking for more information by anyone who saw the incident," Sgt Peachey said.

Another assault occurred near the Reef Hotel on Saturday evening where a male was assaulted by two people.

Police are also investigating the matter.

Sgt Peachey said assaults were down in Gladstone from last year, but the One Punch Can Kill message needed to be emphasised.

Gladstone Police Inspector Darren Sommerville said police would be seeking banning orders on the culprits if they were caught.

TUESDAY: Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Senior Sergeant Luke Peachey is calling for assistance from the community to identify two alleged assailants.

The men were allegedly involved in two separate assaults at Central Lane Hotel during the early hours of Sunday morning.
