Ducks crash Gladstone police's breath testing unit

POLICE were up at the quack of dawn on Saturday conducting static roadside breath tests on Glenlyon Road when they received a visit from some curious passers-by.

Although police say they appreciated the little guys just wanted to help, they weren't equipped with a reflector vest and therefore had to be "frequently ushered away from the road for their own safety".

The visit serves as a timely reminder that as the weather warms up, drivers need to be aware of active wildlife that may be crossing roads at any time of the day.
