"To train five girls at once and maintain her own body, it is a massive achievement. I am pretty proud of her."

Competing at the Asia Pacific International Fitness Modelling Championships, Mrs Murphy has made both Gladstone and Australia proud, placing fifth internationally, twice.

"I entered my first ever competition in 2012," she said. "I was really happy to have competed against two of my idols."

Plans for Mrs Murphy's future include taking a step back from fitness modelling, so she may impart her knowledge onto other aspiring models in CQ.

"I'd like to give locals a chance to access something I didn't," she said.

"To have a coach who can share information about posing, training, nutrition, programs and divisions is such a great help when competing."

Mrs Murphy admits she is a determined, goal-driven person, but said the hardest obstacle was the mental challenge associated with the rigorous discipline.

As well as focusing on her business, Mrs Murphy will make her debut at her first Powerlifting competition on December 1.

"This is very different to competing in a bodybuilding competition," she said.

"I have taken a step back from fitness model competitions to give my body a break from the intense dieting and to provide locals with my undivided attention."
