Gladstone to host AFL grand final, first time in 11 years
FOR the first time in 11 years the Gladstone Mudcrabs will host the AFL Capricornia Grand Final on Saturday September 12.
The finals will be a boost for the club's coffers with the finals being held for all ages on the one day.
The upgrade of the lights at Clinton Oval was one of the deciding factors to give Gladstone the finals, allowing teams to play into the night if matches were delayed.
The Yeppoon team is at the top of the ladder for the A Grade sides at the moment, closely followed by BITS Saints.
