Gladstone gymnasts on form

GLADSTONE Gymnastic Club members performed exceptionally well recently at the Dolphin Invitational in Rockhampton and Yeppoon Gymnastics Invitational in Yeppoon.

A squad of 30 Gladstone gymnasts went to Rockhampton last month and placed on every apparatus for the levels contended in WAG.

In Level 3, Brittany Macleod placed third on floor.

In Level 4 unders, Eryn Parker finished second on vault and uneven bars, earning her second overall. Sarah McAuley placed in all apparatuses and took third overall.

In WAG Level 4 open, Claire Mortimore was first in vault and uneven bars and second on beam, placing her third.

Skye Henebery was second on uneven bars and Jasmyn Dew was third on beam.

In WAG Level 5 unders, Aime Parker was third overall after taking second on floor and third on beam.

It was a clean sweep in WAG Level 5 open, with Michaela Warwick taking first overall, Whitney Dew second overall and Keegan McPherson third overall.

In the senior levels, Madeline Moran was equal first overall.

The MAG gymnasts also performed well, with Simeon Lockett taking first and Joshua Hurst second on Level 3 high bars.

Samuel Anger performed his best vault of the season to place second, and Joshua Hurst also took second on still rings. In Level 5, Adam Parker placed third overall.

In Yeppoon at the weekend a squad of 17 placed well on all apparatuses.

In Level 4 under, Eryn Parker was first overall and Sarah Macauley second overall.
