Gladstone to Gold Coast cycle for kids

FORMER Australian rules footballer, now radio presenter Peter "Spida" Everitt, embarked on a 652km bicycle ride from Gladstone to the Gold Coast this morning.
At 8.34am the 41-year-old, dressed in Lycra and Fluro, mounted his time machine TMR02 bike and headed South of Glenlyon Road, with the Gold Fm crew in toe.
Mr Everitt has set out on the trek hoping to raise as much money as possible for the Give me 5 for kids foundation that helps hospitalised children.
He will ride 1km closer to home for every $50 that is donated.
At 9.40am Spida had collected $4,000 in donations.
