Gladstone fire crews attend to grass and car fires
THE Gladstone Fire and Rescue Service attended a small grass fire on Hansen Rd in Callemondah about 10am on Tueday.
The cause of fire was unclear but it was quickly extinguished.
Fire and rescue personnel also attended to a car that was reported to be on fire, about 20km west of Calliope.
On arrival, officers found smoke pouring from the engine bay.
Last night a fire crew attended a backyard fire shortly after 6pm.
Council by-laws state fires can only be used in contained vessels for cooking or for warmth.
