Gladstone drink drivers named and shamed

IT WAS a bigger week on the roads for Gladstone police this week, with six drink drivers with more than $4000 in fines between them.

Peter Jon Granzien, 37, contributed to half of that sum when he was pulled over on Lorikeet Ave.

Mr Granzien returned a reading nearly four times the legal limit at 0.193%, was fined $2000 and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Forty-four-year-old Anthony Philip Carroll was pulled over on Gladstone Mount Larcom Rd and returned a reading of .107%.

He was fined $650 and disqualified from driving for four months.

Allan David Oliver Cotter, 42, was pulled over on Malpas St, Boyne Island, and returned a reading of .100%.

He was fined $800 and is out from behind the wheel for four months.

Fifty-year-old Christine Haigh returned a reading of .079% when she was pulled over on Dawson Hwy.

She was fined $500 and is out from behind the wheel for six weeks.

Scott Robert Barr, 41, was pulled over on Gladstone Benaraby Rd and returned a reading of .075%.

He was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for six weeks.

And lastly, Fabian Kerehama William Soutar, 29, returned a reading of .03% when intercepted by police.

He was fined $375 and disqualified from driving for three months.
